‘Like Modi is compromised to Trump, he wants a TN CM,compromised to him’: Rahul

Chennai: Training his guns on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Home Minister Amit Shah, charging them with trying to rule Tamil Nadu from Delhi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that ‘Like Modi is compromised to US president Donald Trump, he was a Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu compromised to him.
“Modi wants to rule Tamil Nadu from Delhi and that is why he frequently coming here. What the BJP wants is a partner in Tamil Nadu who allows them to rule the state from Delhi. They want a Chief Minister who takes orders from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. The same way Trump has compromised Modi, they want a compromised Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu,” Gandhi said, addressing his first election rally at Ponneri in Tiruvallur district, canvassing votes for the candidates of the INDIA Block, comprising the DMK and other parties.
He blamed the AIADMK for having become totally subservient to the BJP and RSS, saying, “The BJP has destroyed the AIADMK and there is nothing left of the AIADMK which is now a hollow shell. It had a great tradition of defending Tamil tradition like the DMK. That AIADMK had died long back. This new AIADMK is just a mask hiding the true face of the BJP.” Asking the people to be vigilant of the NDA, Gandhi said “When you see the AIADMK, their flag and their leaders, remember that they are fully controlled by Modi and Amit Shah because of their corruption. Unlike the BJP, we have always seen our partners as equals, never intimidate or crush them with central agencies. This assault on Tamil Nadu should be stopped.”
