Mumbai, Jan 20 (UNI) Krishndasi, a new serial based on Devadasi community, was launched by Colors with a glittering dance performance by its lead star cast. Set against the backdrop of present-day Pune, Krishndasi will showcase the story of three generations, whose heritage holds secrets that shape their contrasting personalities. Krishndasi, the Hindi remake of the Tamil show with the same name is based on a book written by Indra Soundarajan. This show features actors Sana Amin Sheikh, Chhavi Mittal, Indira Krishnan, Uday Tikekar, Jiten Lalwani, Shweta Mahadik and Shravan Reddy. Talking about her role after the launch of the show here last evening, Sana Aim Sheikh told UNI that, Aradhya is modern, fun-loving person who believes in living every single moment of her life to the fullest and is unaware of devadasi tradition. 'Kumudini is proud of her past and self-respect means the world to her,' Indira said. She further said, 'I have great hopes because I have put in my 100 per cent. Uday Tikekar who plays the role of Pradyuman said, he is the King of the village and is thoroughly condescending by nature.
