New Delhi, September 12 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched ‘Invest Odisha’ website on Wednesday at ITC Maurya in New Delhi.
Industry & Higher Education Minister Anant Das, IAS officers Sanjeev Chopra and and Sanjay Kumar Singh, along with entrepreneurs like OYO Rooms Chairman and Founder Ritesh Agarwal, Jindal Steel and Power Limited Chairman Naveen Jindal, Shahi Exports MD Harish Ahuja, SMS Group India CEO & Managing Director Marc Hoffman were present on the occasion.
“I am here to invite all of you to participate in the Make in Odisha Conclave- our flagship biennial global investor’s meet- to know more about the emerging opportunities in Odisha which is fast emerging as the manufacturing hub of Eastern India. Come, join the juggernaut,” the Chief Minister urged the investors.
“Odisha has a significant potential and its natural strength lies in being a mineral state. We are following the 3Ts formula of teamwork, technology and transparency which will lead us to another T (transformation) in public life.” He further added.
The same meet was held in Mumbai in August and is now set to take place in Chennai in September to invite national and global investors to the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2018’. This second edition of the conclave will be organized at Bhubaneswar during Nov 11 to 15, 2018 to coincide with the famous Konark festival of the state.
“Odisha produces more than 20 per cent of India’s steel which has the potential to rise up to 50 percent,”, said Naveen Jindal.
Clearing the air on the industrial conflict in the state, IAS Sunil K Bhargava told the media persons that there is nothing like industrial conflict. “Whatever happened in the past should not be repeated in the future,” he said.
The press meet in the end chiefly focused on the states’ cost of doing business, its huge potential in the industry sector and natural advantage in the availability of minerals.
