"In democracy the govt is to serve people not to rule": Tripura Guv

Ambassa (Tripura), Dec 27 (UNI) Tripura Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki has reiterated that in democracy the role of the government is to serve the people but not to rule while delivering his speech as the inaugurator of a mega health camp organised by Raj Bhavan with the help of the department of Health and Family Welfare in the bordering subdivision of Gandacharra in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here today.
Mr Solanki has been the second Governor visiting this bordering subdivision after 29 years. He has inaugurated the health camp in the local Gandacharra Class XII School. He has also distributed materials among the divyangans. And launched bus service run by Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC) from Gandacharra to Ambassa.
In his inaugural speech he has remarked, "I am very glad for attending the programme as you all have gathered here in the venture of Raj Bhavan.The main motivation behind arranging such programme is to make Tripura the model state in the entire north-eastern region and an instance for the whole country. We want ek Tripura, srestha Tripura, samridhdha Tripura, sampanna Tripura, swasth Tripura and surakshit Tripura.''
