‘Grand alliance is our amanat, will continue to create strong Opposition’ : Sharad

Patna, Aug 19 (UNI) Senior JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav, who has raised a banner of revolt against JD (U) president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his decision to form NDA government in Bihar, today expressed his sorrow over the break-up of grand alliance and said he would continue to make concerted efforts for creating a strong opposition in the country facing serious crisis. Holding a parallel meeting of party leaders and workers to that of Mr Kumar, Mr Yadav said ‘Mahagathbandhan was our amanat (valuable) and he would carry forward his efforts to create a strong opposition when the country was facing crisis. He said, the recent ‘Sanji Virasat Bachao Sammelan’ in New Delhi was a step towards the same goal and declared that according to the people`s court, grand alliance continued to exist. He said that the grand alliance in Bihar was like an 'amanat' but it got scattered. Mr Yavav said, the break-up of grand alliance was very painful. He said that he had taken opinions of people from across the country after the break-up. Without taking name of any leader or party, Mr Yadav said his fight was not against any particular person but had launched a fight for the sake of democracy and principles.
