'Don't allow non-essential shops to open during Ramzan', Numanida Council to Mah Govt

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 9 (UNI) City-based Muslim Numanida Council on Saturday urged the Maharashtra government to not let different 'non-essential' shops to open during the Ramzan festival to avoid the spread of Covid-19 infection among the people.
Talking to UNI, Ziauddin Siddiqui, all India secretary general of the Council, said he has penned a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard and handed it over to the divisional commissioner.
Expressing concern over rising cases of Coronavirus in city that touched the 500-mark today, he said that if permission was granted, there would be heavy rush in market, which could not only be in violation of the social distancing norms but also worsen the situation.
