'10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute' campaign: CM, his wife replace stagnant water

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) On the seventh Sunday of the '10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute' campaign against dengue, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal inspected their home for stagnant water to prevent the breeding of disease-carrying mosquitoes.
The Chief Minister tweeted a video of the inspection and appealed to people to inspect their homes for three more Sundays.
He said that Delhi's families can continue to be protected from dengue for the rest of the season if they inspect their homes until mid November.
On the appeal of the Chief Minister, a large number of people have joined the campaign against dengue.
Recently, former cricketer Virender Sehwag also supported this campaign.
The Chief Minister's campaign has led to a dramatic reduction in the number of Dengue cases in Delhi.
Only 74 fresh cases of dengue were reported last week. By the first week of October this year, the figure had only reached 356. By this time in 2018, there were around 650 cases.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also shared a photo of his home inspection on Twitter and wrote, "10 Hafte10Baje10Minute again this morning, and every Sunday for the fight against Dengue. Now there is no spot left for mosquitoes to breed."
Delhi government cabinet ministers Gopal Rai and Rajendra Pal Gautam also shared their photos, videos on Twitter.
Mr Rai wrote, "The war on Dengue continues for the seventh consecutive week. All of Delhi is joining this campaign and making Delhi Dengue-free. You should also join the campaign and help in making Delhi Dengue-free."
Referring to the Champions campaign, Mr Gautam said, "#10hafte10baje10minute, call your ten friends and make them aware of the fight against Dengue."
Many MLAs of Delhi also shared their photos on social media and said, "Dengue will lose, Delhi will win!"
Doctors and experts had warned Mr Kejriwal that the number of dengue cases might shot up this year. This is why he launched the '10 Hafte 10 Baje 10 Minute' campaign against Dengue that has shown tremendous results.
