Telangana: ACB arrests Irrigation official for accepting Rs 4 lac bribe

Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) : A Deputy Executive engineer of irrigation Department here was held by Anti-corruption Bureau after he demanded Rs 5 lakhs and accepted Rs 4 lakh bribe from a builder for clearing No Objection Certificate (NOC) permission file for construction of commercial building situated at Shanthi Nagar in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
The accused officer thereby performed their public duty improperly and dishonestly, ACB said in a release here on Saturday.
The bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the Irrigation official.
