HP : Congress government in HP anti -development : Khanna

Dharamshala, Apr 27 (UNI) BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna on Saturday criticised the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh dubbing it as anti-development and anti-education.
Addressing Panna pranks here, he said ,the construction work of the Central University building in Dharamsala could not start even though the Ministry of Environment and Forests had given clearance for its construction in June and a sum of Rs 250 crore was sanctioned for it. He said the work could not start as the state government not depositing its share of Rs 30 crore for the purpose.
He said the union government has sanctioned Rs 132 crore in the last financial year to build the state's first Unity Mall in Dharamshala of Kangra district. The state government has received approval from the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of India. He alleged that the government is anti-Kangra and that the mall could be shifted from here.
Khanna said the law and order situation in the state was in shambles. He said a 50-year-old woman Kusam Devi of Gadiyara village panchayat of Sulh Assembly constituency was murdered and the culprits were still at large.
He said on Saturday at Palampur bus stand a young man attacked a woman with a sharp weapon. The woman was admitted to PGI, It shows that women are not safe in Himachal Pradesh, and crime against women is continuously increasing in Himachal Pradesh.
Earlier Khanna called on the Tibetan Spiritual leader the Dalai Lama at McLeodganj.
The BJP leader said in the last Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate Kishan Kapoor defeated Congress by 4,77,623 votes which was the biggest victory in the country and this time also BJP will continue this trend in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He said once again the lotus will bloom in Kangra and Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time in the country.

Khanna said that our MP continuously lobbied with the central government to get the issues of the Kangra Parliamentary constituency resolved. He claimed that BJP got work done for the expansion of Gaggal Airport and the land was identified for the campus of the Central University in Jadrangal.
He said that BJP government Speeded up the work of construction of four lanes from Mataur to Shimla and Pathankot to Mandi and MP from Kangra released Rs17 crore for 696 development works, Rs.1.20 crore for martyr memorials and its renovation.
