Cong manifesto got new stature after first phase of LS poll: Chidambaram

New Delhi, April 27 (UNI) Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for continuously criticizing the party's manifesto on Saturday and said that, seeing his defeat certain in the first phase of voting, Modi has started giving importance to the Congress' manifesto.
Chidambaram said that the continuous criticism by Modi has given a new stature to the party's manifesto. This has resulted in discussion about the manifesto in the public, and the message of the party has reached the masses and 'thanked the PM' for it.
In his social media post X, the former Union Minister said that the Congress' manifesto was ignored by Modi between April 5 and April 19. But after the first phase of the election, it got a new stature.
Taking a jibe at the Prime Minister for shifting the flow of the election campaign, Chidamabaram said, "Modi Sarkar has gone. It was BJP Sarkar for a few days. Since yesterday, it was NDA Sarkar.".
"Have you noticed the dramatic change that has happened since April 19?
The Congress' manifesto was ignored by Mr. Modi between April 5 and April 19. After the first phase of polls on April 19, the manifesto has acquired a new stature. Thank you, Prime Minister!" the chairman of the Congress manifesto committee said.
He further said, "News from states where polling took place on April 26 is very encouraging for the Congress.".
Stating that Kerala takes pride of place, Chidambaram said, "UDF is expected to repeat the splendid performance of 2019.".
He further said that the party will improve its score in Karnataka from' 1'. And he will perform better in Rajasthan and return with a handsome score.
